About
Software should get out of the way of people who want to help.
No-Seat is volunteer management for nonprofits, festivals, cleanups, and one-day crews. Organizers get a live roster. Volunteers get a link. Nobody buys another seat because a neighbor showed up.
Why we built it
Most volunteer tools are priced like office software. Every extra helper is another license, another password, another person who never logs in again after Saturday. That punishes the organizations doing the recruiting.
We took the opposite bet: one organizer account, unlimited volunteers, and a magic link that works on a phone in a parking lot. Shifts fill themselves. Check-in is a QR code at the door. Waivers and checklists live on the same screen you’re already looking at.
For organizers
Create the event, set capacities, share one link, and watch the roster update live — including kiosk check-ins.
For volunteers
Tap the link, type a name and email, claim a shift. No account, no password, no app store detour.
How we work
The product is built on Clerk for organizer sign-in and Convex for the live database — so when Maya claims the shoreline crew, every open dashboard updates without a refresh. We keep the surface small on purpose: events, shifts, tasks, waivers, and check-in. That’s the day-of toolkit. The rest is noise.
